Trina Turk - The Box at Lincoln Center

 VIDEO:

Trina Turk captured the colours of a sunset with oranges and burnt siennas using Stila Cosmetics. These rustic colours shimmer on the face with a hint of shine on the cheeks and gorgeous lip colour.  All wrapped up in a monochromatic warm. 

Kate Spade - Fall/Winter 2013 Presentation

VIDEO:

Nothing shines brighter than a clean, fresh face in Kate Spade's Fall/Winter presentation.  Eyes are brightened with white eyeshadow, a crisp black eyeliner and a bright poppy lip colour much inspired by Andy Warhol. 

Kenneth Cole Fashion Show

VIDEO:

Tough, dark and urban describes Kenneth Cole's show which was achieved through playing with textures, gloss on the eye with smudgy silver eyeshadow and a focal point on the ombre dark to light red lips creating a full pout.

i was at New York Fashion Week a few seasons ago and I was so shocked at how fast it applied make-up and the amazingly smooth and flawless texture it gives to the skin.

i love using luminizers and illuminating primers (like Smashbox luminizing primer) to give the skin a natural glow.  mix a liquid luminizer (like Benefit High Beam) with your foundation and apply with the Beautyblender.  you will get an all-over glow that won't be too overpowering.

where do i start?  let's start with foundation - i love Armani's Lasting Silk Foundation when it is applied with beautyblender -- goes on like second skin. 

FAVORITE TRICK YOU HAVE DISCOVERED 

USING BEAUTYBLENDER: 

i've never been a huge fan of cream blush but with beautyblender, it's become a part of every makeup application.  it makes cream blush look like you're glowing and flushed from within.  i love using it with Tarte Cheek Stains.  also, diffusing eyeshadow to create a perfectly blended smoky eye has been a new trick i've been using the beautyblender for. 

DESCRIBE THAT "A-HA!" MOMENT WHEN YOU USED BEAUTYBLENDER FOR THE FIRST TIME: 

i was applying makeup on my friend, stylist Jen Rade and she had one with her.  i was a little skeptical but decided to try it - and it was an instant love connection.  i remember specifically that she was using it with Jouer cream foundation.  i thought to myself that if it goes on this smooth with cream, how amazing would it be to blend liquid foundation.  i immediately went to the store and bought my first pro 6-pack.  

FAVORITE BEAUTYBLENDER COLOR AND WHY: 

black - no question about it.  doesn't get stained and 
it matches most things in my kit.  :)

VAMPIRES ARE BOUND TO BE HOT THIS HALLOWEEN.  WHAT TIP COULD YOU SUGGEST TO ACHIEVE THIS LOOK USING BEAUTYBLENDER: 
applying a white cream foundation and giving yourself a luminous glow would be so easy with the beautyblender.  a layer of the foundation of your choice should be applied first by placing the product on your face and then blending it out with beautyblender.  follow with a layer of MAC Strobe Cream or NARS Illuminator in Copacabana (for a more intense sheen) afterwards, using the same technique.  it will give you the perfect "Edward Cullen" complexion.


BE HONEST, HOW MANY BEAUTYBLENDERS DO YOU OWN:
at least 45 -- not kidding.  can't live without 'em.
